Mustang spikers rally past Purple Eagles

Rebounding from an opening set loss, Medina rallied to down host Albion 23-25, 25-11, 25-23, 25-19 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League volleyball match.

Evie Schultz served up points 7-18 in the second set to help pull Medina even in the match. Jordan Lugo then served up the final two points in the third set and Elle Gross scored points 1-5 to get the Mustangs rolling in the fourth set.

Devin Griffin had 11 spiking kills for the Mustangs as Gross had 4 and Ayzha Pitts 3. Schultz had 5 aces.

Medina and Albion are now both 1-4 in N-O action.

In the other matches, defending champion Akron (5-0) downed Roy-Hart (3-2) 25-23, 22-25, 29-27, 25-21 and Wilson (4-1) bested Newfane (1-4) 25-10, 25-8, 25-12.
