A bit of a rebuilding task is at hand for the Medina volleyball squad which lost four of six starters to graduation.

Juniors Je’ne Brown and Maddie Williams, who both received Niagara-Orleans All-League Honorable Mention last year, return to the starting lineup to anchor the squad.

The Mustangs also return varsity experience in the senior quartet of Alyssa Beyer, Faith Henning, Grace Masse and Leah Sheelar.

Two sophomores up from the JV ranks, Elle Gross and Camri King, also look to see plenty of action.

“We’re excited for the year and we’re excited for the challenge,” said Coach Tim Lincoln whose Mustangs went 4-6 in N-O competition last fall.

The Mustangs graduation losses include N-O first team All-League honoree Emily Kams and second team selection Molley Gross along with Carley Schultz, Lexie Sargent and Lexi Neuman.

Medina is slated to get the season off to an early start by competing in the Gates-Chili Tournament on Wednesday.  The N-O opener is slated for September 6 at home against defending champion Akron.
