Mustang boys tie, Kendall girls win

GASPORT – Roy-Hart rallied from a two goal deficit in the second half to earn a 3-3 double overtime tie with Medina/Lyndonville on Tuesday in a Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game.

Medina/Lyndonville is now 4-2-1 and Roy-Hart 3-2-1 in N-O action.

In Albion, Akron rallied with first half goals by Nick Doria and Chris Mayrose to edge past upset minded Albion 2-1. The host Purple Eagles had grabbed a quick 1-0 lead in the first five minutes on a goal by Moses Garza.

Akron is now 6-0 and Albion 0-5.

In girls soccer action, Kendall defeated host Notre Dame 4-0 and Alexander nipped host Lyndonville 1-0.

Kendall grabbed a 2-0 half-time advantage as Taylor ReQua scored off an assist from Maya Rutland and Shelby Reis tallied from Marisa Hanlon. ReQua completed her hat-trick by scoring twice in the second half off assists from Rutland and Rachel Ackles.

Kendall improves to 5-1-1.
