Snapping a five league game losing streak, Medina/Lyndonville outlasted Akron 4-3 in a Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game this evening at Vets Park.

Trailing 3-2 at the half, Medina/Lyndonville quickly rallied into a tie when Evan Silversmith scored just three minutes into the second half off an assist from Ethan Leonard.

The Mustangs then netted the game winner when Leonard tallied with 12 minutes to go.

Akron had jumped out to a 1-0 lead at the outset on a goal by Ethan Martin.

Medina/Lyndonville answered right back just four minutes later when Alex Allis scored on a header off an assist from Leonard.

The sea-saw battle continued as Akron regained a 3-1 advantage on two straight goals by Ben Sequin.

Medina/Lyndonville though cut the deficit to 3-2 before the half on a penalty kick goal by Leonard.

Keeping the momentum, the Mustangs then netted a pair of unanswered goals in the second half to claim the win.

The Mustangs are now 2-5 and Akron 1-5-1 in N-O action.
