Medina visits Barker Thursday
In a bit of a scheduling irony, Medina visits Barker at 4:30 Thursday afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League game as the Lady Raiders look to rebound from Tuesday’s 1-0 loss at Kenmore which snapped nine year N-O unbeaten streak.

Ironically, Medina was the last team to beat Barker in N-O action before Kenmore’s win Tuesday. The Mustangs downed the Lady Raiders by a 3-1 score in the third game of the 2005 season.

Since then Barker had put together an incredible 116 N-O game unbeaten streak going 110-0-6 during that stretch until Tuesday.

Barker bounced back from the Medina loss to go 10-0-1 the rest of the 2005 season. The Lady Raiders then went 12-0-2 in 2006, 13-0-1 in both 2007 and 2008, 14-0-0 in 2009, 2010 and 2011, 11-0-1 in 2012 and 9-0 this season before Tuesday. loss to Kenmore which leaves the two teams deadlocked for the top spot at 9-1 with two games remaining.

Kenmore has home games remaining against Wilson and Akron while Barker will host Roy-Hart in the finale.
