Mustang booters shutout Rams

Jumping out to a 3-0 half-time advantage, Medina/Lyndonville went on to defeat Roy-Hart 4-0 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game at Gasport.

Ethan Leonard opened the scoring for the Mustangs when he tallied 16 minutes into the opening half.

Nick Albone followed up with two straight goals within a span of two minutes late in the half, the second coming on a long range shot. Leonard earned the assist on both tallies.

Kristian Snyder netted the Mustangs lone second half goal as Leonard earned his third assist of the evening.

Jacob Hoffee and Kevin Capstick shared in earning the shutout in goal for the Mustangs.

Medina/Lyndonville improves to 2-1 in the league and 4-1 overall while Roy-Hart slips to 0-3, 0-5.

The Mustangs next host rival Albion at 10 a.m. Saturday.
