Mustang booters romp past CSAT

Getting goal production from eight different players Medina/Lyndonville romped to a 9-1 victory over CSAT at Vets Park this afternoon to maintain sole possession of the Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer lead.

Improving to 5-1, Medina/Lyndonville took the lead for good in lighting quick fashion as Greg Husung scored off an assist from Aaron Feltz in the first half minute.

Medina/Lyndonville boosted its lead to 4-0 at the half as Feltz scored from James Ianni, Ianni from Brian Anderson and Ian Smith from Kristian Snyder.

Keeping the momentum, the Mustangs tacked on five more goals in the second half including two by Zach Harris and one each by Steven Anderson from Husung, by Brian Anderson from Steven Anderson and by Snyder from Lucas Cook.

Newfane 2, Albion 1

Chad Gilson and Jon George each scored a goal as Newfane (5-2) nipped visiting Albion (2-5) 2-1.

Marcos Sanchez scored for the Purple Eagles.

Wilson 3, Akron 1

Wilson also boosted its N-O record to 5-2 with a 3-1 victory over visiting Akron (3-3) on goals by Josh VanBuren, Zach Sarratori and Brayden Skobjak.

Girls Soccer

Roy-Hart 7, Medina 1

Emma Lindke and Amber Villella each scored three goals to lead Roy-Hart (3-5) to a 7-1 victory over visiting Medina (2-5-1).
