Mustang booters blank Purple Eagles

Snapping a season opening three league game losing streak, Medina/Lyndonville shutout host rival Albion 3-0 this evening in a Niagara-Orleans boys soccer contest.

Zaric Boyce scored twice for the Mustangs.

Casey Winiecki scored what proved to be the game winning goal for the Mustangs just 16 minutes into the first half off an assist from AJ Seefeldt.

The Mustangs doubled their advantage before halftime as Zaric Boyce scored with 12:30 to go in the half off an assist from Jacob Corser.

Boyce later added an insurance goal with 12:20 to go in the second half as Russ Stephens picked up the assist.

Zach Fike earned the shutout in goal for the Mustangs.

Medina/Lyndonville is now 1-3 in the league and 2-3 overall while Albion slips to 0-5.

The Mustangs next visit Wilson and the Purple Eagles travel to Newfane at 4:30 p.m. Monday.
