Murray man, 43, died in car accident on Saturday
MURRAY – The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office has identified the man who died in a car accident Saturday in Murray.
William H. Weidinger, 43, of Route 31 in Murray was the sole occupant of the vehicle in the fatal accident.
The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office and Monroe County Medical Examiner’s Office continue to investigate the accident that occurred at about 6:45 a.m. Saturday.
Investigators believe Weidinger was travelling northbound on Fancher Road when he went off the east side of the road and down into a ditch. He continued along the ditch until striking a culvert pipe, Chief Deputy Michael Mele said.
Weidinger was transported by Monroe Ambulance to Strong West in Brockport, where he was pronounced dead at 8:21 a.m.
