Multiple agencies searched for missing kayaker near Golden Hill State Park
BARKER — A kayaker has been missing since Monday night, the New York State Park Police said.
A 54-year-old man went kayaking in a orange and black kayak. Ppark Police were called to the boat launch at Golden Hill State Park at 8 p.m. on Monday.
The Park Police set up a multi-agency search that included searches by the Coast Guard air assets C-130, MH-65 Dolphin Helicopter, New York State Police Helicopter, and Park Police Drone.
A water-based search of the shoreline using marine assets was conducted and the initial search efforts were unsuccessful in finding the missing kayaker, according to the Park Police.
Residents on the Lake Ontario shoreline are asked to be on the lookout for the missing man’s kayak, as park police continue their efforts to search for the man.
