Often is is either a snow pack on the ground or rain soaked ball fields that causes delays. Over the years teams have found interesting and innovative ways to practice during these weather challenged situations. One of those occasion came during the second week of April in 2003 when the area was hit by several inches of wet snow. The snowfall caused the postponement of local baseball, softball tennis and track events. However, members of the Medina High track teams took advantage of the snow to find an interesting way to practice – making snow sculptures. Here members of the girls track team stand by a large Easter snow bunny they made during the practice. The boys squad was busy being patriotic making large USA sculptures.
