The powerful winds have caused power outages across Orleans County, with about 1,000 National Grid customers without electricity.

The biggest outage is in Albion, just north of the Erie Canal. National Grid reports there are 709 Albion customers without electricity. Power is expected to be restored by 10 p.m.

There are also outages in other spots around the county, including about 200 customers in Yates-Carlton near Lake Ontario. This area without power is west of Lakeside Beach State Park.

There are also 93 Barre customers without electricity, 123 in East Shelby, and 52 in Murray, west of the Village of Holley. There are also 33 in Clarendon near Munger Road without power.
