More rain, thunderstorms in forecast for today

The National Weather Service in Buffalo forecasts more rain and thunderstorms in Orleans County and Western New York this morning, following heavy rainfall on Tuesday.

“Some of the storms may produce locally heavy rainfall, which may result in minor flooding in poor drainage areas,” the Weather Service said. “Some storms may also contain gusty winds.”

Today is forecast to reach a high of 63, with the temperature falling to 53 by 5 p.m.

There are showers in the forecast for Thursday morning, with a high near 58. Friday there will be a high near 58, with a chance of showers before 2 p.m., according to the Weather Service.
