Monroe rallies past Tri County icers
In control for two periods, the Tri County Midget hockey team saw Monroe County rally for three unanswered third period goals to claim a narrow 6-5 victory today.
Tri County jumped out to a 3-1 first period lead on goals by Matt Neilson, James Hapeman and Tucker Trask.
Goals by Josh Gimeli and Patrick Ricker then kept Tri County up by a 5-3 margin at the end of the second period.
However, Monroe County rallied for three goals in the decisive third period to earn the win.
Tri County is now 3-10-3 on the season.
