Mitchell signs to play football at U. of Akron
Photo by Cheryl Wertman – Medina High senior Roosevelt Mitchell today signed a letter of intent to accept a Division 1 football scholarship from the University of Akron. He is shown here at the signing with his parents Roosevelt Mitchell Jr. and ShantaAette Warren. Mitchell, a three year two-way lineman for the Mustangs, earned first team All-Western New York honors this past season and was a finalist for the Trench Trophy which is given to the top lineman in WNY. Akron competes in the Mid American Conference whose lineup also includes the University at Buffalo.
