Missing baby left with family, teen couple then fled and remain missing

CLARENDON – The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office today received a report of a missing 15 year old female and her 2-month-old infant from the Town of Clarendon.

After an investigation and due to circumstances that took place in Wayne County, an Amber Alert was activated. As a result of this Amber Alert the infant was found to be safe with extended family in Auburn, NY. The infant is currently in the care and custody of Orleans County Child and Family Services.

It was learned that the infant was left at this family member’s residence in Auburn by the runaway parents, Alyssa Bel and Kevin Huntington. After leaving the infant, Alyssa Bel and Kevin Huntington then left on foot and are still missing at this time.

The Orleans County Sheriff’s Office is looking for any leads in regards to their whereabouts.  Please call 585-589-5527 with any pertinent information.

This ongoing investigation is being handled by the Orleans County Sheriff’s Office with assistance from the New York State Police, Wayne County Sheriff’s Office, Newark Police Department and Orleans County Child and Family Services.
