Ministry of Concern seeks furniture donations to give to people in need
ALBION – The Genesee Orleans Ministry of Concern seeks donations of beds and bedding, couches, chairs, tables and electric appliances. The agency will then deliver them to people in need, said Bob Harker, the Ministry of Concern’s executive director.
The agency does not distribute wall hangings, TVs and other incidentals, he said.
The Ministry of Concern last year delivered 711 essential furniture items to 203 different families and individuals.
“Right now, we need everything that we deal with – couches, chairs, tables, dressers and especially beds,” Harkin said. “We picked up 10 beds on Monday. I think we have 3 left. Our warehouse is about empty.”
