Midget League season heads into stretch run
With just two weeks remaining in the regular season, the Albion Midget League is heading into the stretch run with Sandstone currently leading the standings at 8-0 followed by Carlton 4-3-1, Elba 3-4-1, Rotary 2-6 and Barre 0-8.
Last week Sandstone downed Barre 11-0 as Wesley LeFrois had 3 hits, including a pair of triples, and Drew Pritchard 2 with a triple. LeFrois also had 3 hits as Sandstone bested Barre 15-5 in the completion of a suspended game.
The upcoming league playoffs are scheduled to be capped off by the championship game on July 16.
