Midget All-Stars best Roy-Hart
The Lockport Midget ‘A’ League All-Stars defeated the Roy-Hart CEBA team 9-4 Wednesday at Gasport.
The All-Stars took the lead for good by scoring twice in the third inning on singles by Mike Daskavitz ad Wyatt Redburn, a double by game MVP Evan Pappalardo and a fielders choice play off the bat of Mike Wells.
Pappalardo added a two-run triple to cap a 5 run fourth inning which all included an RBI double by Jason Ferris.
Roy-Hart closed the gap to 7-4 in the fourth after doubles by Joe Nolan and Nick Kubas and singles by Ben Maynard and Justin Heschke but could get no closer.
The All-Stars offense also included a double by Brad Wilson in the sixth inning and an RBI triple by Eddie Wasnock in the seventh.
Wasnock also pitched the final three innings while Pat Flaherty hurled the first two and Pappalardo the third and fourth frames.
