Middleport woman’s name released in fatal Hartland accident
HARTLAND – The Niagara County Sheriff’s Office released the name of a woman who was killed on Friday in an accident at 7928 Ridge Rd. in the Town of Hartland.
Stacy L. Donnelly, 46, was a passenger in a vehicle driven by Eric S. Gardner, 45, of Niagara Falls.
The vehicle struck a tree and overturned several times on Ridge Road in Hartland, the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office reported.
The Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call reporting a single motor vehicle accident at 1:22 a.m. Deputies arrived on scene and confirmed a vehicle had left the roadway, struck a tree and then overturned several times, the Sheriff’s Office said.
Deputies observed two occupants in the vehicle and called for EMS to respond. Donnelly succumbed to her injuries and was pronounced deceased at the scene. Gardner was extricated by EMS and transported to ECMC by Mercy Flight.
Investigation by the Niagara County Sheriff’s Office Accident Investigation Unit into the incident is continuing.
