Medina/Lyndonville booters blank CSAT

Erupting for three quick goals in the final 12 minutes of the first half, Medina/Lyndonville went on to shutout CSAT 4-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League boys soccer game this afternoon at Vets Park.

Greg Husung broke a 0-0 deadlock when he scored with 12:35 to go in the opening half of the Homecoming contest off an assist from Kristian Snyder to ignite the Mustangs decisive uprising.

Brian Anderson followed up with a goal just two minutes later as Vassilios Bitsas earned the assist.

Colm Cooper rounded out the uprising with a goal with just 16 seconds remaining in the half off a corner by Husung to make it 3-0.

Anderson also scored the Mustangs lone second half goal with 25:22 remaining off an assist from Cooper.

Tyler Ames and Justin Morgan shared in earning the shutout in goal for the Mustangs.

Medina/Lyndonville is now 5-1 in the league and CSAT 0-7.

In one other N-O game, Akron (4-3) edged past Wilson (3-1-1) 2-1.
