Medina youth matmen place at Lew-Port

Eight Medina Youth Wrestling program grapplers competed in, and placed at, the Lew-Port Tournament on Sunday. The competitors and their place finishes included, in front from left, Stetson Hall (5th), Mackoy Hall (3rd) and Cole Herman (5th). In back are Oliver Wilson (3rd), Sam Kingsbury (1st), Xander Payne (4th), Rashawn Bloom (2nd) and Joel Slack (2nd). Kingsbury went 4-0 on the day. “Most of the boys wrestled in their first tournament and it is always exciting to see what they take from the practice room and apply to a match at this level,” said Coach Jamie Duffina. “They all did very well.”
