Medina youth basketball season gets underway
The Medina youth basketball team, which includes 5th and 6th graders, began their season today with a 40-31 victory over St. Joseph’s of Batavia.
Emmanual Taylor led the way with 17 points for Medina, which held a narrow 18-14 lead at halftime and 24-20 lead after three quarters. Jarin Rhim chipped in with 12 points and Lavonn Guy 7.
Medina also defeated Roy-Hart in a later game to move to 2-0.
Rhim topped the scoring with 14, while Taylor added 8, Chris Johnson 8, and Guy 6.
