Medina youth baseball playoff finalists

The Tops Twins captured the Medina Youth Baseball League playoff championship on Monday with a narrow 2-0 victory over the Medina Teachers Association Yankees. The Twins team includes, in front, Wesley Hughes, Alex Doval, Blaire Prest, Leeland Tolliver and Chase Prest. In back are Coach Chris Goyette, AJ Seefeldt, Chris Goyette, Dawson Brown, Hunter Kruger, Ryan Taylor and Coach Shawn Prest. The Twins advanced to the title contest with a semifinal victory over the Woodroe Realty Blue Jays.

The lineup for the Medina Teachers Association Yankees includes, in front, Austin Mosher, Ben Beam, Brian Fry,, Sam Kingsbury, Jarin Rhim and Ike Pace. In back are Coach Matt Mosher, Coach Brian Fry, Jake Rustkowski, Connor McNeil, Nate Sherman, Lincoln Pace, Sebastin Fisher and Coach Jon Sherman. The Yankees, which dropped a narrow 2-0 decision to the Tops Twins in the title game, advanced to the finals by defeating the Middleport Reds 10-5 in the semifinals.
