Medina Yankees improve to 6-0 in Major Div.

The Woodroe Realty Medina Yankees defeated the  Somerset Braves 15 – 0 Saturday to improve to 6-0 in Major Division competition.

The Yankees were sparked by strong batting and base running.  Brody Fry had 2 home runs and 3 RBI’s and scored twice, Cole Callard went 3 for 3 and scored twice, Jimmy Dieter had 2 hits 1 RBI and scored 2 runs, Timothy Vasquez added a triple and scored a run, Tyler Allen had a double and RBI and scored a run, Kolton Fletcher added a hit and scored 2 runs, Joseph Reese had a hit and scored 2 runs, Milo Vidovich had a double and scored a run, Thedore Chapney had a single and scored a run, and Aiden Wisniewski and Colton Smith each added a run.

Cole Callard pitched 2 strong innings with 3 strikeouts after battling the flue early this week, and Tyler Allen pitched last 2 innings and had 4 strikeouts to preserve shutout.

In other Major Division games, the Medina Blue Jays defeated the Lyndonville Orioles 17-0, the Roy-Hart Yankees downed the Newfane Jr. Panthers 14-8, the Somerset Reds bested the Medina Cubs 12-9 and the Roy-Hart Red Sox tied with the Somerset Dodgers 14-14.

In the Minor Division, the Lyndonville Twins edged the Roy-Hart Yankees 6-5, the Medina Orioles downed the Lyndonville Giants 7-1, the Medina Athletics topped the Roy-Hart Red Sox 9-2 and the Medina Indians tied with the Somerset Yankees 3-3.
