Medina wrestlers top Wilson to go to 3-0

Capturing 8 of the 9 bouts that were decided on the mat, Medina downed visiting Wilson 44-24 this evening to improve to 3-0 in Niagara-Orleans League wrestling competition.

The Mustangs jumped out to a commanding 31-6 lead on first period pins by Luke Duffina (110), Corde Robinson (132) and Brennan Allen (138) along with a major decision win by Liam Castricone (132) and a decision win by Dominick Callara (118).

A major decision win by Austin Seefeldt (152) upped the Mustangs advantage to 35-12.

The Mustangs then closed out the victory on a decision win by Conor Crandall (189) and a first period pin by Sawyer Kingsbury (215).

David Gurski (145) scored a second period pin for Wilson whose other 18 points came via three forfeit wins.

Wilson is now 0-2.

Roy-Hart/Barker 33, Albion 27
Pins by Luke Fay (126), Joel Hickman (138) and Ronan Klug (172) along with a decision win by Quinn Brown (152) highlighted Roy-Hart/Barker’s 33-27 home mat N-O win over Albion.

David Rosario (160) had a pin and Bryden McMurray (132) a decision win for Albion.

Roy-Hart/Barker is now 1-1 and Albion 0-3 in N-O action.
