Medina wins Buffalo Soccer League opener
The Medina Mustangs opened the Buffalo District Soccer League Division 3 season with a 4-1 win over Buffalo Night today.
Medina jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first half on an unassisted goal by Greg Husung and a penalty kick tally by Mateo May.
The Mustangs put a lock on the win with second half goals by Casey Winiecki, off an assist from Husung, and then by Husung on a breakaway from Coby Albone.
On Thursday, Medina dropped a season opening Matthews Cup game to Buffalo Night on penalty kicks.
Nate Dillenbeck and Winiecki scored goals for the Mustangs both off assists from Steven Anderson.
