Medina will host N-O vs. G-R Exceptional Senior doubleheader Friday
Medina will host the 22nd Niagara-Orleans League vs. Genesee Region League Exceptional Senior basketball doubleheader on Friday evening.
The girls’ game is scheduled for 5 p.m. followed by the boys’ contest at 6:45.
The N-O holds a 12-9 lead in both the girls and boys series but the G-R swept both contests last year in overtime.
The N-O girls roster includes Rylee VanNostrand and Stella Poler from Medina, S’koi Sanders from Albion, Juliana Buscarino, Alexis Cacciatore and Makenna Elsenheimer from Roy-Hart, Melanie Holtz from Akron and Lilah Frerichs, Kaylee Allcorn and Maddie Miller from Wilson.
The G-R girls lineup has Haley Shaffer and Lorelei Dillenbeck from Lyndonville, Taigan Guerrero from Kendall, Amelia McCulley, Avelin Tomidy and Maggie Monachino from Notre Dame, Lauren Nelson from Wheatland-Chili, Isabel Breeden and Karli Houseknecht from Pembroke, Makena Reding, Brooke Reding and Emma Wray from Oakfield-Alabama, Melanie Pohl and Parker Wolfley from Alexander, Kendall Phillips, Dayi Caballero and Ava Wagoner from Byron-Bergen and Olivia Mercado from Attica.
The roster for the N-O boys squad includes Amari Jones, Javon Jones and Aquil Gaffney from Albion, Aiden Pitts from Medina, Jamel Johnson Jr. and Nate Beyer from Roy-Hart, Andrew Romesser from Akron, Brad Cantrell and Aidan Voss from Barker, Evan Myers from Newfane and Matt Fox, Logan Wolfe and Mike Bubar from Wilson.
The G-R boys lineup will include Trenton Muck and Mason Nicholson from Lyndonville, David Brumsted and Gianni Ferrara from Byron-Bergen, Connor Scott from Elba, Noah Currier, Kyle Porter and Brayden Smith from Oakfield-Alabama, Chase Gadzek, Cayden Pfalzer and Landon Suro from Pembroke and Terry Bayly-Henshaw from Wheatland-Chili.
