Medina will host Akron in key C North contest Thursday; Albion visits East Aurora

Looking to lock up outright possession of a third straight C North Division title, Medina will host Akron at 7 p.m. Thursday at Vets Park.

The Mustangs bring a 4-0 C North and 6-0 overall record into the contest while the Tigers are 2-1 and 3-3.

Offensively Medina has been led on the ground by Noah Skinner with 875 yards rushing and 15 touchdowns and Cayden Lilleby 243 yards and 4 TDs. Quarterback Aiden Pitts has thrown for 407 yards and 4 TDs. Skinner also leads the Mustangs defensive unit in tackles with 38.

Akron is sparked offensively by quarterback Chris Bergman who has passed for 978 yards and 8 TDs and rushed for 694 yards and 11 TDs. Alex Wik has also rushed for 373 yards and 2 TDs and Donny Kreher has caught 30 passes for 600 yards and 5TDs.

Albion will also be in action on Thursday as the Purple Eagles look to claim their fifth straight victory in a B2 Division game at East Aurora at 7 p.m.

The Purple Eagles are 3-2 in the division and 4-2 overall while the Blue Devils are 1-4, 1-5.

Albion is keyed offensively by the brother duo of quarterback Amari Jones and receiver Javon Jones. Amari has 417 yards rushing and 5 TDs and 699 yards passing with 9 TDs. Javon has caught 18 passes for 358 yards and 6 TDs. On defense, Javon has 4 interceptions and Amari 2.

Roy-Hart/Barker/Lyndonville will host Lew-Port at 7 p.m. Friday in an interdivisional contest.

Holley will entertain Red Jacket at 1 p.m. Saturday in an 8 Man Division game.
