Medina Unified team opens with two wins
The Medina Unified basketball team opened the season with a pair of victories 30-26 over Pembroke in overtime and 56-48 over Niagara Falls.
The Pembroke game was tied 28-28 at the end of regulation play. Lennon Meacham and Joshua Wilson then scored the four points in overtime for the win.
Jackson Tuohey scored 24 to lead Medina as Dominic Larabee, Meacham and Wilson each had two.
Tuohey then scored 44 and Steven Secore 12 in the win over Niagara Falls.
Medina led by a narrow 26-24 margin at the half.
