Medina Unified basketball team downs Akron
The Medina Unified Basketball team defeated Akron 40-23 on Tuesday to improve to 1-2 on the season.
Jackson Tuohey scored 12 points, Lincoln Pace 8, Andrew Owens 7, David Wiley 6, Steven Secore 3 and Josh Calus 2.
Medina jumped out to a 15-6 first quarter lead as Wiley scored 6.
The Mustangs maintained lead of 21-13 at the half and 30-19 after three-quarters. Owens scored 5 in the third.
Medina next hosts Pioneer at 5 p.m. Friday.
