Medina U17 booters win debut in new league

Making a successful debut in the Buffalo and Western New York Soccer League, Medina’s U17 team defeated the Niagara Pioneer Cyclones 3-1 at Vets Park this evening.
Brian Anderson scored two goals and Zach Harris one for Medina which led 1-0 at the half and 2-0 early in the second.
The Cyclones did cut the deficit to 2-1 by scoring with five minutes to go but Medina answered with Anderson’s second tally to put a lock on the victory.
In other league openers this week Medina’s U19 team was blanked by the Niagara Pioneer Militia 5-0 and the Medina U15 girls team played to a 2-2 tie with Niagara-Wheatfield.
