Medina U17 booters earn first win
In a sea-saw battle, Medina’s U17 team nipped host South Buffalo 3-2 this afternoon to earn its first win of the season in Buffalo and Western New York Soccer League competition.
Medina jumped out to a 1-0 lead on a goal by Zach Harris but South Buffalo rallied into a 1-1 tie at the half.
Medina again moved out to a 2-1 lead in the second half on a tally by Adam Cifelli only to see South Buffalo retie the contest at 2-2.
Medina finally regained the lead for good at 3-2 as Harris scored off an assist from Chase Pecoraro to snap a season long six game loan streak.
Medina next hosts the Aurora Arensal at 6:45 p.m. Wednesday at Lyndonville.
