Medina U16 stickmen down East Aurora

Jumping out to a 5-0 lead at the outset, the Medina Lacrosse Club’s U16 team went on to defeat visiting East Aurora 10-7 this evening in a Western New York  League game.

Mitchell Silversmith scored 3 goals and Cooper Fearby 2 to spearhead the Medina attack in the early going.

Medina led 6-3 at the half.

Mitchell Silversmith finished with a total of 4 goals as Fearby and Christian Silversmith both had 2 and Colby Petrie and Tom Vasquez 1 each.

Wesley Hughes made several key saves in goal for Medina as Blair Prest and Bobby Geiger both had strong games defensively.  Petrie also dominated on the face-offs.

Now at 2-1, Medina next visits Sweet Home on July 12.
