Medina U12 Travel squad’s bats get hot

The Medina Mustang U12 Travel Team’s bats came alive Friday night with a game against the host West Seneca Warriors under the lights scoring 14 runs over seven innings.

Vinny Gray hit a rocket down the right field line for a 3 run homer in the fifth inning and Brady Christaansen had a single and 2 run home run to lead the Mustang attack.

Tyler Kroening added a single, double, 2 RBI’s and scored 2 runs, Brody Fry 2 singles, 2 RBI’s and scored a run, Luke Duffina a single and a double and scored a run, Nate Gibson a double 1 run scored and Carter Woodworth had 2 singles and 1 run scored.

Colton Smith also had a single and had 2 runs scored, Jimmy Dieter a single and scored a run, Preston Woodworth a single and 1 run scored, Aidan Papaj a single, and Lukas Grimes scored a run.

On the mound, Preston Woodworth hurled 3 strikeouts over the first 2 innings and Grimes had 4 strikeouts over next 2 innings, Carter Woodworth finished off the game coming in for relief throwing 3 strikeouts and making a strong defensive play when the ball was hit right back to him.
