The U12 Medina Youth Soccer Club has split a pair of games to open the season defeating Grand Island 4-1 after dropping a narrow 4-3 decision to Wilson.

Two penalty kick goals proved to be the difference in the loss to Wilson.

Aiden Owczarczak scored two goals for Medina on assists from Roman Heinsler and Cole Seefeldt. Heinsler accounted for the third goal assisted by Jack Whipple.

Rebounding, Medina bested Grand Island as Samuel Kingsbury tallied two goals, one unassisted and the other supported by Wyatt Zelazny, Seefeldt registered an unassisted goal and Zack Fike found the back of the net off an assist by Bryson Costich.

Also turning in strong efforts were Xander Payne on defense and Zaric Boyce at midfield.
