Medina U12 booters blank Pembroke
The Medina U12 Soccer Club increased their record to 3-1-1 with a 2-0 win over the Pembroke Dragons Monday.
Medina was unable to capitalize on several goal attempts in the first half. Strong shots were launched by Aiden Owczarczak and Roman Heinsler. Samuel Kingsbury registered the first half shut out in goal for Medina.
In second half action, Kingsbury found the back of the net on a corner kick from Jack Whipple. Wyatt Zelazny followed with an assist by Jackson Moreland.
Zack Fike was masterful in goal securing the shut out on the heels of strong defensive play by Xander Payne, Cole Seefeldt, Heinsler and Whipple.
