Medina trims Wilson in N-O field hockey

Building up a 3-0 lead, Medina turned back a late Wilson challenge to claim a 3-2 victory in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game this evening at Vets Park.

Alex Strong scored in the first two minutes to give Medina a quick 1-0 lead.

Lydia Fox then scored twice early in the fourth quarter to up the Mustangs advantage to 3-0.

However, Wilson made the finish exciting as goals by Gianna Marchetti and Anna Meyers pulled the Lakewomen to within 3-2 with six minutes still to play.

Medina is now 2-3-2 and Wilson 2-5.

Roy-Hart 5, Kenmore 1

Cheyenne Stilwell scored two goals and Ashton Becker, Justine Lavery and Lexiss Diel each netted one as Roy-Hart downed Kenmore 5-1 to improve to 4-3-1.

Akron 8, Newfane 0

Front-running Akron remained undefeated at 8-0 with an 8-0 win over Newfane.

Lacey Berghorn scored six goals to spearhead the Akron attack as Jillian Baltzley and Olivia McClaine each added one.
