Medina trims Akron in N-O boys X-C meet

Improving to 2-0 the Medina boys edged visiting Akron 28-31 in a Niagara-Orleans League cross-country meet this afternoon.

Akron’s Quinn O’Malley won the race and Medina’s Ryder Jones was second.

Akron won the girls race 15-50 as Kylie Rebman was the individual winner.

Barker and Newfane likewise split. Barker won the boys’ meet 25-33 and Newfane the girls’ 25-36.

Newfane’s Liam Betteridge won the boys’ race and Barker’s Mikala Woock the girls’.

Forfeits dominated the tri-meet at Wilson.

In the boys’ competition, Roy-Hart and Albion both picked up 15-50 forfeit wins over Wilson. Roy-Hart downed Albion 23-36 in the other portion of the meet as Josiah Rodriguez was the individual winner.

In the girls meet, Roy-Hart picked up 15-50 forfeit wins over both Albion and Wilson.
