Medina tops Wilson in N-O softball

Scoring five quick runs in the first inning, Medina (3-2) went on to defeat Wilson (1-3)  15-7 this afternoon in a Niagara-Orleans League softball game at Vets Park.

In the other N-O contests, Akron (3-0) nipped Roy-Hart (3-1) 5-4 in extra innings and Newfane (3-0) downed Barker (0-4) 22-7.

Emily Kams and Destiny Satkowski both had doubles and Morgan Allis a two-run single to key Medina’s big first inning scoring burst.

The Mustangs later locked up the win by scoring four runs in the sixth inning as Alisha Scroger singled in a pair of runs.

Allis and Scroger both had a total of 3 hits.

Olivia Littman had two home runs, a triple, double and single and Teagan Volpe a home run , double and 3 singles to lead the way for Newfane.

Kylie Miller had 3 hits, including a double, for Barker.

A walk off RBI single by Neely Abrams lifted Akron past Roy-Hart.

Elba 11, Lyndonville 2
Carli Bogue struck out 16 and scattered 8 hits to lead Elba past visiting Lyndonville in a Genesee Region League game.

Anna Lewis  had 3 hits for Lyndonville.

In a non league game, Holley blanked Northstar 18-0 as Kassandra Norman had 9 strikeouts.

Anna Brasted had 2 hits, including a triple, for the Lady Hawks as Norman, Madison Papaj and Hannah Biedlingmaier also all had base raps.
