Medina tops Wilson in N-O field hockey

Five players shared in scoring goals as Medina downed Wilson 7-0 in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game at Vets Park this morning.

Penelope Schalck and Iyla Lilleby both scored a pair of goals as Ava Blount, Maggie Lonnen and Sophia Goyette each chipped in with one.

Medina built up a 3-0 lead at the half as Lilleby scored in the first quarter and Schalck and Blount in the second period.

Schalck, Lonnen and Goyette then each scored in the third period upping the lead to 6-0. Lilleby rounded out the scoring with a fourth quarter tally.

Medina improves to 4-2 at the halfway point of the N-O season while Wilson is 3-3.

Malloree Rinker sends the ball up field for Medina as Reese Kepner comes in to defend for Wilson.
