Medina tops rival Albion in N-O volleyball

Medina bested visiting rival Albion in straight sets 25-11, 25-23, 25-16 this evening as the Mustangs snapped a season long four Niagara-Orleans League volleyball losing streak.

Addy Paul had 7 aces, Maddy Watts 3 and Karlee Cau 2 for Medina. Paul’s serving included a run of 6 straight points in the third set. Cau also had 3 kills and Sam Heschke and Maya Anderson 2 each.

Emma Jones had 3 kills and Hanna Kumalac 6 assists for Albion.

Roy-Hart 25-20-25-28, Newfane 18-25-20-26

Frontrunning Roy-Hart improved to 5-0 with a four set N-O win over Newfane 25-18, 20-25, 25-20, 28-26.

Lila Brigham had 9 kills, Raegan Kern and Kylie McOmber 6 each and Emily Livergood 4 for Roy-Hart as Ryleigh Capen had 24 assists.

In the other N-O match Wilson (4-1) downed Akron (2-3) in three sets.

N-O Field Hockey
Roy-Hart trimmed Kenmore 2-1 on goals by Bella Rheinhart and Dillan Santella. Adella Dukes and Brooke Zglinicki added assists.

N-O Golf
Barker nipped Albion 262-264 in an N-O golf match.

Albion’s Drew Pritchard took medalist honors with a 48 for Albion while Adler Detschner led Barker with a 49.
