Medina tops Newfane in N-O softball
Medina downed host Newfane 13-6 this afternoon to improve to 5-4 in Niagara-Orleans League softball competition.
Bri Raiser-Russell had a double and triple Brooklyn Brown three singles and Hannah Kenward two singles to lead the offense for Medina which scored in six of seven innings.
In other N-O action, Akron blanked host Albion 10-0 and Wilson defeated Barker 16-10.
Front-running Akron stayed perfect at 9-0 as Jenelle Kieffer pitched five innings giving up 3 hits and striking out 9 and Ella Hill banged out a double, triple and home run.
Bryne Dysard and Olivia Bieber both had a pair of hits for Albion which is now 4-6.
