Medina tops Newfane in N-O field hockey

Getting goal production in every quarter Medina downed Newfane 6-1 in a Niagara-Orleans League field hockey game at Vets Park this afternoon.
Iyla Lilleby sored 4 goals and Ava Blount and Sophia Castricone each netted 1 for Medina which held leads of 1-0 after the first quarter, 2-0 at the half and 3-0 at the three-quarter mark.
Medina improves to 6-3 and Newfane slips to 1-8.
Akron 5, Roy-Hart 0
Defending champion Akron stayed unbeaten at 9-0 with a 5-0 win over Roy-Hart. which is now 3-6.
Madigan Regan, Nevada Bergman, Ava Lombard, Brooke Milhollen and Olivia McClaine took turns scoring the goals for Akron. McClaine also had a pair of assists.
