Medina tops Kendall in non league volleyball match; Albion bests Alexander

Medina downed visiting Kendall 25-13, 25-23, 25-22 this evening in a non league season opening volleyball match.

In another non league contest, Albion evened its record at 1-1 by besting host Alexander 25-22, 25-13, 17-25, 25-12

Maddie Williams had 7 kills, Je’ne Brown 6 and Camri King and Elle Gross 3 each to lead Medina at the net.  King also had 6 assists.

Divere Brown, Evie Schultz, Brandi Guild and Gross each had 2 service aces for the Mustangs.

Jenna Regan had 9 kills for Kendall as Brittney Marks added 11 assists and 8 digs and Jessica Coble 9 digs.

Sierra Newton had a big run of 12 straight service points, including 3 aces, in the second set to help spark Albion to the victory. She had 7 kills, 7 aces and 11 digs on the evening.

Natalie Lathrop added 9 kills and 3 digs, Hailey Smith 9 kills and Breanda Johnson 15 assists and 2 aces for the Purple Eagles.
