Medina teams earn Scholar/Athlete Awards

Photos by Mike Wertman – VOLLEYBALL – Compiling a composite average of 96.0016, members of the Medina volleyball squad have earned a New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar/Athlete Team Award. In front are Ellie Gross, Evie Schultz, Alyssa Beyer, Faith Henning and Maddie Williams. In back are Divere Brown, Ryenn Oliver, Grace Masse and Leah Sheelar. BOYS SOCCER – Members of the Medina/Lyndonville boys soccer squad have compiled a composite average of 94.5533 to earn a NYSPHSAA Scholar/Athlete Team Award. In front are Andrew Houseman, Renee Masters, Ethan Leonard, Trevor Hare and Alex Allis. In back are Kody Leno, Caelan Holland, Nathan Sherman, Owen Frasier and Ray Paull. Missing from the photo are Noah Heinsler, Brandon Heschke, Evan Horn, Chase Woodward, John Pietrafesa, Chase Stinson and Kane Flynn.

GIRLS SOCCER – Compiling a composite average of 92.6569, members of the Medina/Lyndonville girls soccer squad have earned a NYSPHSAA Scholar/Athlete Team Award. In front are Marg Brakenbury, Alexis Adams, Cheyenne Farewell and Haylee Seefeldt. In back are Alisha Scroger, Ashlee Howell, Jarielys Flores Medina, Kaya Bloom and Morgan Allis. Missing from the photo are Chloe Adams, Karina Bellan, Stacy Buckland, Hannah Hamilton, Grace Hayes, Melanie Hibbard, Anna Lewis and Brianna McMullen.

BOYS CROSS-COUNTRY – Members of the Medina boys cross-country squad have compiled a composite average of 96.4025 to earn a NYSPHSAA Scholar/Athlete Team Award. In front are Trenton Crews and Isaac Pace. In back are August Pietrafesa, Daniel Heil and James Bielski. Missing from the photo are Alden Cayea and Jack Hill.

GIRLS CROSS-COUNTRY – Compiling a composite average of 99.4915 members of the Medina girls cross-country squad have earned a NYSPHSAA Scholar/Athlete Team Award. In front are Rebecca Lunden, Hannah Heil and Corinne Hill. In back are Kaitlin Washbon, Hannah Sones and Cora Payne.

FIELD HOCKEY – Compiling a composite average of 97.2985 members of the Medina field hockey squad have earned a New York State Public High School Athletic Association Scholar/Athlete Team Award. In front are Grace Flores, Maddy Kenward, Hannah Mahnke and Megan Showler. In back are Margaret Griffin, Guin Schalck, Jessica Granchelli and Sarah Cochrane. Missing from the photo are Alissa Blount, Libby Cook and Lacey Kenward.

FOOTBALL – Members of the Medina/Lyndonville varsity football squad have compiled a composite average of 90.8202 to earn a NYSPHSAA Scholar/Athlete Team Award. CHEERLEADING – Compiling a composite average of 92.0795 members of the Medina football cheerleading squad have earned a NYSPHSAA Scholar/Athlete Team Award. In front are Kate Clark, Alexis Jones, Morgan Greco and Ashton Laird. In back are Madeline Kraus, Alexis Hinman, Alexis Maron and Gianna Greco.
