Medina teams begin WNY Summer Lacrosse League season
Medina’s four teams began Western New York Summer Lacrosse League action this week.
On Wednesday evening, Medina’s 16U dropped an 11-2 decision to visiting East Aurora. Brendon Luthart and Greg Husung scored the Medina goals.
On Tuesday evening. Medina’s 10U team lost 13-2 to visiting North Tonawanda and the 14U squad dropped a 10-4 decision at Sweet Home. The U12 contest at Niagara-Wheatfield was halted by stormy weather in the first half.
Sam Kingsbury and Josh McEwen scored the Medina goals in the 10U game.
In the 14U contest, Medina got two goals from Brendon Luthart and one each from Nathan Lewis and Jacob Uptegrove.
League action continues this evening with Medina at Wilson at 6:15 p.m. in 10U, Lockport at Medina at 7:30 p.m. in 12U and Niagara-Wheatfield at Medina at 7:30 p.m. in 14U.
