Medina scores 2 wins in youth football

Medina took two of three games from host Tri Town Saturday in Niagara Orleans Football Association (NOFA) competition. The Colts won the Mini Division game 28-0 and the Broncos took the JV Diision contest 20-14 but the Stallions lost 40-0 in the Varsity Division.

Colts 28, Trojans 0
Christian Moss rushed for 150 yards and 2 touchdowns to lead the Colts offense as Avion Johnson had 48 yards rushing and a touchdown and Lex Gray 36 yards. Quarterback Preston Woodworth threw a two-point conversion pass to Kolton Fletcher and also ran for two extra points.

On defense, Ben Doolan, Trevon Shine and Moss each had 5 tackles and Mackoy Hall, Johnson and Fletcher 3 each.  Shine and Stetson Hall both had fumble recoveries and Elijah Doxey an interception return of 45 yards for a touchdown.  Fletcher also had a sack and a forced fumble and Hall a forced fumble.

Broncos 20, Trojans 14
Amari Soule and Brody Fry each had a rushing touchdown and Cole Callard caught a pass for another TD to pace the Broncos which scored late to take the lead.  An interception by Logan Gray in the end zone then wiped out a late Trojans drive to preserve the win.

Justin Pitts had 79 yards rushing to lead the Colts as Soule had 66, Julian Woodworth 28 and Fry and Ayden Johnson 17. Woodworth also had 26 receiving.
