Medina swimmers sweep Byron-Bergen

Medina opened the swim season on a high note as the Seahorses swept host Byron-Bergen in a non league meet this evening winning the boys’ competition 121-41 and the girls’ 100-75.

The Medina boys were led by a trio of individual event double winners including Chris Goyette (200 Individial Medley, 500 Freestyle), Hunter Heil (100 Butterfly, 100 Backstroke) and Ray Paull (50 and 100 Feestyle).

Hannah Heil was a double winner for the Medina girls taking both the 50 Free and 100 Free.

Albion also scored a sweep over host Oakfield-Alabama winning the boys meet 57-37 and the girls’ competition 55-30.

Matt Kovaleski doubled in the 50 Free and 100 Breaststroke for the Albion boys while Amelia Sanchez took both the 50 Free and 100 Free for the girls.

In another non league meet, host HAC swept to a doubleheader win over Roy-Hart.

Carter Green was a double winner in the 200 and 500 Freestyle events and Will Rickard took both the 50 and 100 Free for the Roy-Hart boys.
