Medina sweeps Barker in N-O track opener

Medina bested visiting Barker in the Niagara-Orleans League season opening track meet this afternoon winning the boys’ meet 85-43 and the girls’ competition 76-58.

Issac Pace was a double winner in the Shotput and 400 Hurdles and Christian Drisdom in the Triple Jump and High Jump for the Medina boys squad which also got individual event wins from Kaedon Cleveland (110 Hurdles), Bryson Costich (100), Arian Cayea (1600), Ben Griffin (400), Gabe Mark (800), Cameran Castanon (3200) and Sabastian Zilempe (Discus).

Madelynn Rutledge was a triple winner in the 100, High Jump and Long Jump for the Medina girls which also got wins from FaithAnn Vanderwalker (Triple Jump), Megan Zalles (Shotput), Ellie Rooth (100 Hurdles), Faith Baker Austin (400) and Iyla Lilleby (800).

Madison Gancasz was a double winner for Barker in the Pole Vault and Discus.
